Meet Ouida Brown-Lyons

MPT, CNC, CHHC, RMT, MBSR Meditation Teacher

Ouida’s work sits at the meeting point of three lives: the discipline of an athlete, the perspective of a former corporate professional, and nearly two decades of holistic wellness expertise. She built N.E.W. Body to give women over 35 the kind of support she wished existed—warm, grounded, and genuinely restorative.

Her story

A Path Built From Real Experience

Ouida knows discipline from the inside. Eleven years as a competitive figure skater taught her how the body responds to demand, recovery, and care—and how much the mind shapes what the body can do.

She also knows the weight of a demanding career. Before wellness, Ouida worked as a corporate mortgage account executive, navigating the pressure, pace, and quiet depletion that so many women carry. That chapter is exactly why her work speaks so directly to professionals and leaders today.

Over 18+ years, she’s woven those lessons into a holistic, spiritually open practice—one that honors mind, body, and spirit without losing its grounding. Her sessions draw on movement, breathwork, meditation, sound, and energetic restoration, always shaped around the woman in front of her.

Through her hospitality work, including her role as Resident Wellness Advisor to The Hotel at Avalon, Ouida has learned how to create experiences that feel effortless for the guest and seamless for the host. And as a lululemon Ambassador, she stays connected to a wider community of movement and wellbeing.

Above all, Ouida is committed to women over 35—meeting them in the season they’re in, and reminding them, again and again, that they are not broken. Their bodies are simply asking for a different kind of care.
